Summary
The Leader Spare Corner Books originated from a popular women's supplement feature launched in 1927 in The Leader, a Melbourne based weekly newspaper published by David Syme & Co. Due to overwhelming reader demand, these crowd sourced domestic columns were compiled into annual and multi-part booklets filled with reader contributed recipes, household hints, and remedies.
