Historical information

HMVS Cerberus was a Royal Australian Navy ship from 1871 to 1926. It was built by Palmers Shipbuilding and Iron Company and launched on 21 December 1868. It was completed in August 1870. It was sunk as a breakwater at Black Rock in September 1926.

Physical description

Two Burmese teak bulkhead pieces and panelling and six brass fixing screws.
