Historical information

These notes are believed to have been written by Valerie Lovejoy as part of her Master's Degree at LaTrobe University and for the preparation for a book entitled "Mapmakers of Fortuna". These notes refer to the Automap system developed at the Army Survey Regiment from 1976 onwards and they discuss the three-phase project, its aims, limitations and successes. The notes include the plans for what is needed to cover the topic.
