These are anecdotal notes from a visit by John and Helen McEwen 25 February 2008. John recalled that he repaired the statue on the "Pompeii Fountain" located at Fortuna Villa after it had been shot believed to be by an unknown National Serviceman using a .303 rifle. The document describes what is believed to be information surrounding the shooting incident and the damaging of several other statues in the 1960s.
