Physical description
L-R William Alfred Hands (Washington), Service No: VX50886 was born on 12 September 1916 and enlisted in the AIF on 25 February 1941. He served in the 2nd/6th Infantry Battalion.
Corporal Richard Hands, Service No: VX36558 was born on the 25 January 1920 and enlisted in the AIF on 8 July 1940. Whilst serving in the 2nd/2nd Pioneer Battalion, he became a POW in Java during 1942 and Died at sea (Rakuyo Maru) on 15 September 1944.
