Physical description
Dr Hector Rath Maclean was a well-respected local doctor and second-generation Williamstown doctor.
He was born in Williamstown and was the third son of Dr David Purdie Maclean, a local doctor (and coroner) since the 1850s.
Maclean attended Williamstown Grammar together with Charles Merritt, later Sir Charles.
Dr. H.R .Maclean died at the family home in Parker Street on the 27th August 1934, aged 72.
A memorial to Dr Maclean was erected in front of the Senior Citizens building in Ferguson Street.
