Historical information

Although the photographer and maker of this album is unknown it is typical of personal photographic albums of the era. Subject matter includes Lake Weerona, Talbot Lyons Hotel (now demolished), Sacred Heart Cathedral (before the main central spire was completed) and Bendigo mining and agriculture scenes.
One photograph shows a woman dressed in Edwardian clothing consisting of a high-collared light blouse, a long skirt, and a decorative ruffled apron or pinafore with a small cap with a poppy. 'E. Wire' or 'Were' written below.

Physical description

Three ring, thirty nine page photo album containing fifty four black and white photographs. The first twenty seven pages have photographs adhered to both front and back of each page. Twelve blank pages at the back of album. Some pages are annotated including several relating to a camping holiday possibly to Sedgwick, with bicycles. Photographs show a makeshift tent set up with campfire and bedding with hand written descriptions such as 'Easter 22 / 4 / 16' and 'Our Easter Camp' . Written in white ink on black pages
