The box was made by Don Terry to show the parts of the Gramophone (KVHS 1910) before restoration.
Significance
Many parts of the Gramophone were donated to the KVHS. Pieces were damaged and detached but able to be saved and used in the restoration of the gramophone. The Mount Beauty and District Men's shed took on the task with their new machinery. They presented the fully restored gramophone to KVHS in July 2026. It is now in excellent conditon.
Physical description
Wooden case with perspex lid. Metal hinges and knobs. Original pieces of the gramophone before renovation are displayed. The box is 44.5 cm x 58.5 cm x 8.5 cm.
