Historical information

Used extensively within the Royal Australian Survey Corps for the compilation of maps and for map overlay production 1970 -1980. These pens produced lines of consistent line widths for cartographic ink work and these replaced the earlier "Crow Quill" ink nib pens.

Physical description

Set of eight Rotring Pens, various sizes are .25 mm (two pens with white bands), remaining six pens are .35 mm (yellow band), .5 mm (brown band), .7mm (blue band), 1.0 mm (orange band), 1.4 mm (teal band), and 2.0 mm (light grey band). Contained in a plastic box with felt insert. Also in box are six small empty tubes which contained spare nibs plus two compass attachments.
