Summary

This book was produced as part of the “Australia Remembers, 1945-1995” activities organised in conjunction with the Commonwealth Government of Australia to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the end of the Second World War and culminated in key national ceremonies held in Brisbane on 15 August 1995 to mark the 50th anniversary of Victory in the Pacific.

“Australia Remembers” activities took place around in Australia including Wodonga. The major event in Wodonga was the installation and dedication of the official commemorative plaque at the Wodonga War Memorial located in Woodland Grove.
