Historical information

The Emerald Country Club operated from the late 1920s until around 2010 on the northern section of the land previously occupied by Gembrook Nurseries. The building was modelled on American country clubs of the time. The Club's profile included a golf club and a bowls club serviced by a club house that provided meeting and eating facilities. It played an important role in the local community as it attracted state, national and international visitors for special sporting events and regular recreation. This table napkin was found in an Emerald Op Shop by the donor.

This embroidered table napkin is an artifact from the dining room of the iconic Emerald Country Club.
