Historical information

The Warrnambool Agricultural High School was established in 1907, operating at sites in Koroit Street, Jamieson Street and then Hyland Street until 1961. The farm section operated at Merrivale, from 1910 to 1924. It became known as Warrnambool High School in 1924 and in 1961 the High School moved to a site in Albert Park, merging with Warrnambool North Technical School in 1993, to form today’s Warrnambool College.

Significance

This prospectus lists the Council members and Staff of the Warrnambool Agricultural High School in 1911 and provides information for prospective students including the Aims of the School, the curriculum, school fees, availability of board and lodgings, the 1911 term dates and school times. The booklet also includes photographs of the facilities. A list of the 1910 Students' results is provided.

Physical description

This is a quarto size, 20 page booklet with a cover of thicker blue paper. The front cover has printing in gold and navy blue with a stylised crest in green print. The white pages have a red printed border and contain black text with black and white photographs. There is a signature in black ink in the top right hand corner of the cover and three words written in black ink on the left hand side of the cover.
