Physical description

Trainee uniform second year. Comprised of dress, apron and hat from Betty Stalker and cuffs, collar and belt from Barbara F. Hastings. Cotton houndstooth fabric with gathered elasticised short sleeves. [Short sleeves introduced around1946], red skeleton badge on left sleeve. Pocket on left breast and right side skirt seam. Six white plastic buttons on front. Cap with red Maltese cross badge, gathered at back with drawstring. Waist band, collar and cuffs labelled Barbara F. Hastings graduated 1959.
