Historical information

Work diaries kept by Ron Nicholls, assistant propagator at Nobelius Nursery from 1938 to 1940, when he left to join the RAAF. The diaries detail specific work tasks undertaken at the nursery. The diaries, two photographs and a prayer book were donated by his widow, Mrs Ron Nicholls. Letters written by his mother to Ron Nicholls during his time in the air force are believed to have been donated to the RAAF Museum (to be checked). The diaries are important as a record of work carried out in the area that is now Nobelius Heritage Park. Ron Nicholls moved from Queensland to Emerald with his family in 1925. He was an active member of St Mark's Church

Two cardboard red hard cover diaries for 1938 and 1939 used by Ronald Nicholls. Each page has three dates and is separated by a pink page.
