Historical information

The Upper Yarra Valley and Dandenong Ranges Authority operated from about 1978 though the 1980s to the early 1990s. It produced a numb er of strategy plans and reports designed to prfeserve the natural environment of the region while also encouraging tourism. The Shire of Sherbrooke and Emerald were included in its brief.
