Significance

This type of telephone was used in the 2nd half of the 20th century. After that, it was superseded by the mobile phone. It was officially released in grey only. It has a Telecom Australia imprint which dates it as post-1975. Prior to 1975, Australian telecommunications were part of the Postmaster General's Department (PMG)
