Historical information

The set was presented to Gwen Jones who worked at the Emerald Country Club and also lived in accommodation at the Club while she was employed there. She married Alan Howard from Monbulk. The Emerald Country Club Emerald Country Club and Golf Course was originally part of the Nobelius Nursery complex. When Nobelius died in 1921 the nursery was sold, and part of the grounds developed as the Emerald Country Club (20's). The Emerald Country Club buildings and Golf Course still exist but are currently not functional.

Silver plated formal serving set with filigree grape design on all pieces comprising:
- large serving tray with commemorative inscription
- coffee pot
- teapot
- milk jug
- sugar bowl
