Physical description

A writing Compendium used during WW1. Black leather folds into a small satchel with a carry handle. Strap with a catch goes into a lockable metal clasp. Strap is broken with catch stuck in clasp. Once opened there are 5 compartments on inside of lid, one of which is missing. There are leather loops (2) for pens on other side.
The spine of the compendium is damaged and the edges are frayed.
