These letters are part of the record of the campaign by a group of Emerald residents for a library to be built in Emerald as the township was, at the time, only serviced by a mobile library bus which attended one afternoon per week. The library was eventually built in partnership with Cardinia Shire and with some Federal Government funding and was opened on July 27, 2006.
