Significance

he Motorola Dyna TAC 8000X was the first portable cell phone developed by Motorola in 1973. Mobile (cell) phones gained popularity in the 1990s and exponentially beyond that time. The Motorola Ultra Sleek 9660 - 1993 - was the last phone Motorola released in the Dynatac Series.
