Significance

It is believed these petticoats belonged to Florence Nobelius who was the wife of one of the sons of Carl Axel Nobelius: Rupert (Jock) Nobelius. Florence was born in 1894. Carl Axel Nobelius founded the acclaimed Gembrook Nurseries.

Physical description

Two half petticoats, cream colour with machine-made lace - belonging to Florence Nobelius and believed to be early 20th century. Both have been altered over the years.
