Historical information

Presented to E Nobelius by the General Secretary of the British & Foreign Bible Society, Victoria in 1942. This New Testament book belonged to Elaine Morris who was the daughter of one of Carl Axel Nobelius's sons, Jock. Elaine and her husband Douglas Morris were local residents. Carl Axel Nobelius founded the acclaimed Nobelius Nurseries. Elaine's long life has spanned most of the 20th century including WWII.

Significance

This book reflects the importance of religion for most people of that time.

On the front: 'New Testament'. Below that is the symbol of a crown and below that are the initials 'G R' with 'vi' in between those letters.
