Significance
This book of golf rules which was donated by a former captain of the Emerald Golf Club is a reminder of the significance of the Emerald Country Club in the history of Emerald both architecturally and recreationally.
Physical description
Dark green hard-cover reference book with metal reinforcing around the bottom edges of the cover. The book records the rules of golf and was held by the now defunct Emerald Country Club. The title is 'Rules of Golf and Decisions by the Rules of Golf Committee' and it has the emblem of the Royal Ancient Golf Club of Saint Andrews. The book is a binder in that pages could be added to it as updates were provided to the golf clubs. The last update was in the early 1980s, and the original book appears to be dated 1964.
