Historical information

William Barber graduated from Melbourne Pharmacy College in 1952. He and his wife Marcia were married in 1956. Known to his friends as 'Bill', Barber was the pharmacist in Emerald from the 1950s until he and his wife retired to the Mornington Peninsula in 1990. He soon re-entered the workforce by taking the job of Drug Inspector for the Commonwealth Government until he retired again in 2000. William and Marcia Barber had four children. William Barber died in 2003. (Graham, Club History - One of our former members - Bill Barber).

Significance
