The subject of this photograph, Colin Richards, was a councillor in the Shire of Sherbrooke in the 1990s and publican of the historic Paradise Hotel (now Paradise Valley Hotel) in Clematis.

Physical description

A rectangular, black and white photograph printed on matte paper. This photograph depicts a man photographed from the waist up. He has his hands behind his back. He is smiling. His hair line is receding but has a lot of hair growth around the sides and towards the back.
He is dressed in a dark jumper (?wool) which has a vertical cable pattern. At the neckline the collar of a light coloured short is visible. The man is standing beside a piece of large machinery which has wheels and looks to be of metal construction, possibly a road grader. There are tall trees visible in the background.
