Historical information
The Emerald Football Club, also known as the Bombers, first formed in 1905. It was one of the earlier clubs in the Mountain District Football Association, which later merged to become the Yarra Valley Mountain District Football League. Initially, their colours were blue and white, followed by green and gold, until they changed to the red and black we see here—which are still used today. The Bombers have claimed many premierships at numerous levels over the years.
Des Gallenti played (in his estimation) 100-150 games for Emerald Football Club.
