Photos were taken in 1930s. John Charles Rees (17/12/1914-27/3/1969) was the photographer - except presumably for the photograph in which he is featured sitting on the trestle bridge. He used to cycle from Oakleigh to the Dandenong Ranges at weekends.
Donated by his daughter in law, Val Rees.

Significance

These photos taken in the 1930s show the Emerald Station with a list of Emerald tourist sites of the period and the trestle bridge with almost no residential development evident.
