Significance

Kevin Teasdale grew up in Emerald in the 1940s and 1950s. He has written extensively about Emerald in that period. His writings are contained with photographs in his family folder in Filing Cabinet 6C.

On back of photo written in biro (presumably by Kevin Teasdale): These tools belonged to Edward Teasdale. He used them (as did I as a young "apprentice" in his Emerald shoe repair businesses from 1940-1960. He also used them to build his own wheelchair and to build the shelving for the display of new boots, shoes & slippers that he sold.
