Significance

The Teasdale family were shop proprietors in the 1940s and 1950s in Emerald. Kevin Teasdale has written extensively about Emerald in that period. His writings are stored with photographs in his family folder in Filing Cabinet 6C. They are a valuable addition to understanding Emerald's history in the mid-20th century. This photograph was taken by Kevin as a record of the changes in the Kilvington Drive streetscape.
