Ballarat's Begonia Festival was started at Ballarat in 1953 and continues to the present. This souvenir silver plated & enamel souvenir bookmark was collected at the Ballarat festival by Mrs Reed c.1958 and is one of several promotional souvenirs available in those early days of the festival. It is one of a range of Begonia Festival souvenirs from over the years that is held at Hymettus Cottage.
