Medal given to the President of the Royal Australian College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RACOG) and the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG) between 1978 and 2004.

Physical description

Medallion in the shape of a seven pointed star with a phoenix at top. There is a shield design at centre of the medallion, with light blue (proper right) and dark blue (proper left) enamel. The shield also carries four eight pointed stars. Text engraved in the circumference of the medal reads 'AD UMBRIS AD LUMINA VITAE'. Medal has an associated blue cloth ribbon, which is detached from the medal. Ends of ribbon closest to medallion have two five pointed silver stars. Medallion comes with medal case covered in dark fabric with a cream lining.
