Brown painted wooden box, exo skeleton construction. The lid pivots by one end, the other end has a steel clamp. A canvas web belt goes around sides and forms a handle at each end.
Stenciled on top in white paint, 7.62 ball LZAZ BDR.
Engraved on bottom is; H.28 Mk 2, (AUST).
Painted on one side is; 7.62 L2A2 500 Rds, 7.62 BALL, MF 28-8-64 L2A2
