Physical description

1. Lens Cone - heavy aluminium tube with a sloght taper. One end is open, the other end is flanged and open. This end has 3 hex bolts sitting in it. Inside is a glass lens. There is a lever on the cone with four 'F' stops 5.6 - 80 - 11- 16, serial 6?94. The lens has anistigmat No. TT 286227 14 inch.
2. Heavy duty plywood box. Inside are padded cradles to hold the lens cone. It has a steel handle on one end, It has two catches to hold lid shut.
Stencilled on top 15:- Cone Lens 14" or 20". Ref No. 14A/ 825 or 999. Camera F24. It has a crest with "A. M." on either side.

Inscriptions & markings

On cone is a plate = Cone 14" B Ref No. 14A/23R Serial. There is 1/2 an RAAF Equipment ticket tied to a bolt.
