About

Our organisation's aim or purpose is collecting and preserving items of local history, including schools, dairy and sheep industries, war memorabilia, etc. We call it "preserving the old and present for the future."

We were established in 1985 at the request of many locals and were helped in this by Heytesbury and Camperdown societies.

We are fortunate to have been in our own home since 2004. We successfully ran the local art festival for 18 years. In 1995 we participated in the "Back To Cobden" which commemorated 100 years of the Heytesbury Shire and 140 years of Cobden State School.

We have had books published including "Our Cobden and District 1840-1920" and "100 Years Down The Line."
