Envelope made by Tudor Presseal. Would contain a Preprinted card - green ink titled "Last Trammail Cover", headed by TMSV's name, address and details of the TMSV, with the names of the Organisers John Fitzsimons and Bob Prentice along the lower edge. Magazine cutting or photocopy of an article titled "Trams to Replace buses in Melb's Bourke St Lines", from the September 1943 issue of Truck and Bus Transportation. Quotes MMTB Chairman Mr Bell, Premier Mr. Dunstan. Notes problems with the extra war time traffic, not coping with maintenance issues, problems with double deck passengers, passengers not wanting to use upstairs, trams superior for the short haul, Fisherman's Bend services, number of buses and that the Board is building new trams, the SW6. Pamphlet advertising the sale of land at the "Camberwell Panorama Estate" - Doncaster and Bulleen Road 13-10-1923. Gives terms of sale, photos showing the views and a nearby shopping centre. Has a large photo of MMTB No. 20 on the front cover. The tramcar is of the Hawthorn Tramways Trust four-door bogie type. MMTB No 20 was an ex-Prahran and Malvern single trucker or small tram A class. Gives details of the 110 lots to be sold, terms, location, and that the tram was proposed to be extended to the corner. This extension took place in 1937. The locality plan shows proposed plans for tram lines in Belmore Road and Burke Road north of Whitehorse Road. Ceremonial Object - Baptismal Font, Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Port Melbourne, Jim Hillis
On the pending sale of Holy Trinity church, this baptismal font was removed from the church for safe keeping by the Society and placed in storage at McClusy's garage. When McClusky moved out in 1997, the font was again removed and placed in sections in the Spring Street foyer of the Port Melbourne Town Hall. In February 1998 it was assembled by members of the Society.Baptismal font, eight sided, ornamental, free standing, in three sections: base, column, water bowl; made of concrete and finished in plaster of Paris for relief sculptures; painted an off-white. Demonstrates the Museum's ticketing systems and ongoing production of tickets.Block of 200 tickets - light red ink on off white paper, original denomination 5c, lettered A 175000 to A 175199, headed Ballarat Tourist Tramway and over stamped "CHECK TICKET NO VALUE". The 200 tickets have been stapled onto a heavy cardboard back with a heavy metal staple. See also Reg. Item 2234 for over stamped 5c tickets using a different stamp. The tickets are in the style of the former State Electricity Commission of Victoria tramway tickets. Original block A100000 to A100200 added 30/6/2004 - from BTM archives., Note different stamped used on ticket. Tickets originally printed for general use on the trams 1974.
