Cardinal O'Connor was Roman Catholic archbishop of Boston when this medal was created by Ohlfsen in 1911.This medal was created by Ballarat born sculptor Dora Olhfsen. Ohlfsen lived and worked in Roma at the time and this medallion was created for Archbishop, Cardinal O'Connell of Boston on his achieving the cardinal's hat in 1911. Ohlfsen was born in Ballarat in 1869 and served as a nurse in Italy in World War I later sculpting the Anzac medallion to raise funds for returned soldiers. -

Medal was posthumisously awarded to Pte NashRound Medal 36 mm Ribbon 38 mm Brass2200 PTE F N DASH 1 BN AIF (Frank Noel). KIA 6 August 1915 at Gallipoli. Frank Dash was born in Burwood, Sydney. He joined the Army 11/6/15 and was posted to the Gallipoli Peninsular, noteably Lone Pine, 6th August 1915. He was wounded by machine gun fire (neck and shoulder) 7/8/1915. He was transferred maybe to a hospital in Lemnos, but a subsequent Court of Enquiry determined he was KIA. His father's address was Ballarat when plaque and scroll were delivered. -

Australian Sports Medal and miniature and presentation box awarded to Val Campbell in 2000. The medal is a round shape of silver coloured metal suspended from a yellow ribbon with four green stripes. The design on the obverse is the five stars of the Southern Cross constellation above four horizontal lines. On the reverse are the same four horizontal lines as the obverse with the engraved words To commemorate Australian sporting achievement forming a half circle around the top edge and the words Valma Marion Campbell engraved above the four horizontal lines.The year 2000 is engraved below the four horizontal lines. A clasp to affix the medal to clothing is attached on the back of the ribbon. The miniature is a replica of the medal itself and is identical in every respect except for the engraved name on the reverse. The presentation box is encased in black leather like fabric and is padded on the lid with the words Australian Sports Medal stamped in silver. The box is line with white satin on the inside of the hinged lid with the medals resting in a moulded black velvet covered tray. Frederick V Trickey had extensive service with the Victorian Colonial military prior to 18 months service in South Africa. His World War One service included Gallipoli and Western Front with 8th Infantry Battalion AIF. He served in World War Two but did not proceed overseas. Major Frederick C Truckey had pre-war service with 8th Light Horse and Australian Army Instructional Corps; then during World War Two he served with 2/8th Armoured Regiment AIF. Following the war, he joined the Australian Regular Army and served in Korea. Medal - Peace Medal - Triumph of Liberty and Justice Australia 1919
Small bronze medal made by Stokes & Son issued to Australian schoolchildren in 1919 at the end of WWI. Small bronze medal. The obverse has a figure of Victory, a female figure with flowing robes and hair, with doves flying around her head; there are two supine figures at her feet, and they appear to be breaking the chains of war. The reverse depicts a soldier and a sailor with a crown and laurel wreath. The laurel wreath encloses the inscription. The figures stand near a scroll. There is a small metal loop at the top of the medal to allow it to be attached to a ribbon or hung on a chain. -
