Craig Thomson was a trade union official and subsequently a federal ALP parliamentarian for the seat of Dobell. After allegations of theft and fraud by Kathy Jackson, Thomson addressed parliament prior to the allegations being tested in court; he protested his innocence and highlighted what he believed to be a distinguished contribution to the trade union movement. The courts subsequently found Thomson guilty of fraud and theft during his time at the Health Services Union.
