The Ballarat School of Mines had a 'Model Mine' that was used to teach students. Practical work was undertaken for a fee, supervised by laboratory superintendents. Copies of assays undertaken are compiled together in this book. Leatherbound ledger with transfer copies assay reports from the Ballarat School of Mines. Those seeking assaying work from the Ballarat School of Mines are listed in alphabetical order in the front of the ledger. The ledger contains 543 pages. .2) Foolscap assay report on foolscap Ballarat School of Mines letterhead, and signed by Alfred Mica Smith, Superintendent of Laboratories. The report was on eight samples of Quartz submitted by R.C. Morgan, Scotts, Hotel, Melbourne .3) Assay report on Ballarat School of Mines letterhead, dated 14 August 1985, and signed by Andrew Berry, Registrar. The assay was supervised by Professor Alfred Mica Smith, and undertaken for James Burke, Broken Hill, New South Wales. .4) Assay report on Ballarat School of Mines letterhead, dated 18 August 1988, and signed by Alfred Mica Smith, Superintendent of Laboratories. The assay was undertaken on samples of Limonite submitted by James Burke and others, Broken Hill, New South Wales. The report includes information the the Ballarat School of Mines museum and the search for geological specimens from all Australian colonies for the collection. .5) A 'rough' assay report on samples of stone submitted by H. This file contains two items about Moorabbin Hospital, as part of Monash Medical Centre: 1/The Agenda of the first Annual General Meeting of Contributors to Monash Medical Centre, held 28/09/1987 at the Clayton Campus. The business of the meeting is outlined and those who are contributing to the meeting are named, including guest speaker The Honourable David White, Minister for Health. 2/Two copies of the Monash Medical Centre Annual Report 1986–87. The Annual Report outlines how the creation of the Monash Medical Centre involved the incorporation of three existing hospitals, including the Moorabbin Hospital. The Report also outlines the plans of the Centre of the future, including the relocation of Prince Henry’s Hospital to Clayton and Moorabbin. The Report contains updates on recent purchases by the Centre, breakthroughs in health research, and ends with a financial report. This set of 23 photographs were taken at the Corps Day Parade held at the Army Survey Regiment, Bendigo on the 1st of July 1995. This occasion was to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the formation of the Royal Australian Survey Corps. The Parade Commander was CO LTCOL Duncan Burns, and the Reviewing Officer was the Deputy Chief of the Defence Force MAJGEN G.D. Carter AM. Also in attendance was his MA MAJ M.D. Bornholt AM and the COL COMDT of the Royal Australian Survey Corps COL Don Swiney MBE. On this occasion the Reviewing Officer presented the Defence Force Service Medal to SGT Graham Hales and SPR Ken Labouchardiere for 15 years of efficient remunerated service in the Australian Army. SSGT Russ Mollenhauer received the Defence Force Service Medal clasp in recognition of 20 years of service. On this parade WO1 Bill Jones received his commission and by promotion to Captain from CO LTCOL Rene van den Tol. Command of the unit was handed over to LTCOL Rob McHenry. It is probable the commissioning and handover ceremonies occurred on the CO’s Parade. LTCOL Rene van den Tol was CO from 1989 to 1992 and LTCOL Rob McHenry was CO from 1992 to 1993.This is a set of 28 photographs taken at a CO’s Parade at the Army Survey Regiment, Fortuna, Bendigo in 1992.
