Yields information about fares charged for tram services in Ballarat, Bendigo and Geelong. Issued to crews.Twenty page booklet, plus medium weight card blue colour covers centre stapled. Book cover has title "Electric Tramways of the State Electricity Commission of Victoria By-Law No. 1". Along the bottom edge is the printing number "TYE 1-27" and date, "November 1955" Pages are numbered pages 1 to 20, amending By Laws dated 9/3/1937 (See Reg. Item 3108) and with a list of subsequent dates in the first paragraph. Dated by the SEC 20/10/1955. Gives definitions, fares and charges, regulations re passengers, behaviour, smoking, dangerous goods, luggage and behaviour of crews. Gives schedule of fares and charges for Ballarat, Bendigo and Geelong. Fares applied from 1949 to 1951 - see Reference. The photos could also be used for individual postcards.Set of 15 black and white views of Geelong printed on a folded strip, glued within a manila colour cardboard folder, titled "Geelong Photographic Souvenir". Booklet printed with an address area with title and kookaburras and on the rear, an area where the sender could write their name. Produced by The Valentine Publishing Co. Pty Ltd Melbourne. Article by David Fitzsimons about the poor condition of the body of Geelong tram No. 40 in Queens Park Newtown. Gives a short history of the tram, including its time in Ballarat as No. 43. Consists of formation history, track and route dates, operator, SEC takeover and route lengths. One page of statistics - 1935 to 1969, only completed to 1968 and last year filled in by hand. Gives Income, Expenditure, Loss, passengers and car miles. Car miles have been handwritten and pasted over the typed sheet. Probably prepared late 1960's by Les Denmead (assumption here - See Reg item 3289 and 3478 for Geelong Bendigo version), given the hand written notes etc.Yields historical notes and statistics on the Bendigo Tramway system - the statistical information being the most important. Four sets - original and three copies - foolscap typed documents, three pages each, titled "Bendigo Tramways Early History". Yields historical notes about the method of track construction in Bendigo, the poor condition of the rails at the time of the report and the need to do work at Charing Cross.Typed foolscap sheet note or report titled "Bendigo Tramways - Tracks". Gives notes on the track construction methods of ESCo and reconstruction by the SEC. In the section titled 'Present Condition of Tracks". Note says need to obtain photographs and comments as for Ballarat. Also mentions that the CRB is anxious to re-deck the bridge running under Charing Cross - written date? Probably written for a report into the tramways by the SEC as part of a recommendation to close them. Demonstrates aspects of the method of selling advertising space inside tramcars by the SEC and gives rates.Pamphlet - folded card - giving advertising rates for Geelong, Bendigo and Ballarat tramcars. Details the number of trams in each city, the rates for a standard size internal card, based on the number of cards, larger cards, half yearly and quarterly. Gives reasons why you should advertise. Has the same name, telephone number and the name "Alan Davis Pty Ltd of 149 Castlereagh St Sydney" on the card as well. Not sure of their relationship. On the front small folded section, an image of an owl and the statement "Be Wise and Advertise".
