Pte. Izzie Shinberg served with several units in France during WW1, the 29th Battalion, the 66th Battalion and the 58th among others.Circular Medal (No ribbon).Obverse shows a central effigy of King George the 5th. Reverse depicts an image of St. George on horseback trampling underfoot the eagle shield of the Central Powers, and a skull and crossbones, the emblems of death. Above this is the risen sun of victory. The years of 1914 and 1918 are contained on the outer edge of the medal. Service # 2139 PTE. I. SHINBERG. 29 BN. A.I.F. are stamped on the medal rim.

The Victory Medal was issued to Servicemen who entered any theatre of war between 5th August 1914 and 11th November 1918.Circular Medal. (no ribbon.)Obverse depicts the winged figure of Victory. Reverse shows a circle of laurel leaves surrounding the inscription " The Great War for Civilisation 1914 - 1919." Service # 727.Dvr. A. Griffiths 7L.H.R (Light Horse Regiment) A.I.F. on edge of medal. Trooper Angus Griffiths was hospitalised with gunshot wounds to his left arm and left thigh in an Egyptian hospital.

Alan Eglinton Eckford joined the Australian Military Service on the 14th October 1915. He saw service in France during the European campaign. He was killed in action on the 14th December 1917.Circular Medal. (no ribbon). Obverse depicts an effigy of King George the 5th. There are no buttons or corps badges. On the arms are the metallic gold badges of a Staff Sgt. On the chest are 12 ribbons. 2. Braces, trouser. Elastic white, gold plated steel clips. 3. Ribbons are = Reserve Forces Medal 2 Rosettes (15 years plus 2 x 5 year extras) and National Medal. "Joseph Thomas Jones" was in the Bendigo CMF Unit for many years. 6 Coy RAASC - 15th TPT Sqn.1. Jacket Black. Four pockets. Top pockets held shut with brass buttons. Gold Sgts stripes on arms. Sleeve cuffs have two brass buttons each. Chest parts held shut 5 brass buttons. Epaulettes have a brass button each. The vertical type collar has an RACT badge on each side. Ribbons - Qty 2. 2. Trousers, black. Two white stripes down outside of leg. Fly is zipper type.Jacket has "Jones" written in it. Trousers have "J.T. Jones" .cmf, transport corps, 15 tpt sqn, j. t. jones, passchendaele barracks trust

The medals are two off four entitled to Stanley Ernest Scoles. Enlisted in the RAAF as No 11717 on 5.8.1940 age 31 years, promoted to Cpl 1.10.1941, Sgt 1.8.1942. His overseas service shows he was in Port Moresby from 15.3.1943 then Goodenough, Kiriwina then Goodenough until arriving in Nadzab on 4.12.1943, Nadzab from then until arriving back in Townsville on 25.6.1944. This hat was worn by D. P. Bright, whilst serving in the Royal Australian Navy, presumably on the H.M.A.S. Leeuwin.Sailor's hat with removable ribbon which sits on exterior band with machine embroidered inscriptions, tied in a bow at the back. Hat is piqued, stiffened white cotton with two white eyelets on both left and right side. Dark navy band on exterior with brown leather lining on the interior, with cotton bow on interior back. On interior of hat, the hat contains a plastic lining on which there is an inscription. On either side of the inscription is a strip of beige coloured cotton lining in the shape of a semi circle (see photos).On ribbon, "H.M.A.S. LEEUWIN" On interior, "BRIGHT. D.P. Written by hand in blue ink on a small piece of paper - Ribbon is pure gold thread. The buttons and stars are rolled gold. They were all brought from Germany by Auntie Hilda - made in her cousin's factory who supplied these for the German Army, (1st World War).A set of 1st World War German Military Uniform badges (10 star pins) and buttons (5) with a shank on the back made of rolled gold and a piece of ribbon made of pure gold thread. 3 buttons are smaller than the other two and all have engraving and military insignia which is difficult to read on the front and the back of each. One star is bigger than the other 9 and all have 5 points and lines on each point. They have a pin on the back. The 5 buttons have an insignia on the front with a key and other markings.
