This smokehouse, erected in 1975, was built using stone from the Mullen Mullum Creek by stone mason Ray Williams, based on a photograph of a smokehouse in America. This ship carried only one male convict and 49 female convicts. She was of 350 tons and skippered by Master John Mason. After the various branches of the Methodist Church united about 1900 the building was used by the Free Masons until their building in Skene Street was erected in 1926. Lanercost Priory was founded around 1169 by Robert de Vaux, and was home to an order of Augustinian canons until 1538 when is was dissolved by Henry VIII. This item is a Certificate of Merit awarded to Leslie Arthur Tinker for bravery in risking his life in going to the rescue of passengers on the motor launch "Nestor " on the Hopkins River at Warrnambool On January 09 1921. Leslie Arthur Tinker was 31 years of age at the time of this rescue of passengers from the launch"Nestor". Les Tinker was the third son of Jessie and Frank Tinker. He was caretaker at the Town Hall for many years and lived on site. He was married to Elsie Moore and they had one son Donald born 1928. The sinking of the Nestor claimed 10 lives in Warrnambool that day and was a tragedy for Warrnambool. Two long remaining survivors were Janet Glass Dickson who died in 2011 at 97 years of age and A Mr Jim Russell who was still living in Warrnambool in 2011 at the age of 94.This certificate has strong historical and social significance with strong links to one of Warrnambool's larger families. The event itself was a tragedy for Warrnambool with ten people losing their lives. The award comes from The Royal Humane Society of Australasia and as such is a national recognition. The Mason jar, named after American tinsmith John Landis Mason, who patented it in 1858, is a molded glass jar used in home canning to preserve food. The jar's mouth has a screw thread on its outer perimeter to accept a metal ring or "band". The band, when screwed down, presses a separate stamped steel disc-shaped lid against the jar's rim. An integral rubber ring on the underside of the lid creates a hermetic seal. The bands and lids usually come with new jars, but they are also sold separately. While the bands are reusable, the lids are intended for single-use when canning. Glass jars and metal lids are still commonly used in home canning while they have been largely supplanted by other methods for commercial canning (such as tin cans and plastic containers). Originally the Port Fairy Post Office built by Captain John Mason in 1865 in place of a wooden structure which he also built back in 1857. It then became the Port Fairy Borough Chambers in 1882 and the drawing shows the building inhabited by a Restaurant called "Lunch" c1990's. n 1927, during the ministry of the Reverend Charles Mason, Methodist Church services and a combined Anglican-Methodist Sunday School were held in the Mincha State School, The Mincha Memorial Methodist Church was opened on13 March 1936. It was called the Mincha Centenary Church to mark 100 years since the arrival in Victoria of Reverend Orton, the first Methodist minister.The photograph shows the front and one side of the church and public hall which are located side by side.

He doesn't know if the jewellery will be sold or not, but he would like a piece to keep in remembrance of his father. The loan from T. W.
