Set of four foolscap size sheets, for ARHS Tour to Ballarat, titled "The Ballarat Bonanza" on 25/2/1967, stapled in the top left hand corner. Included trips on the Eureka and Redan lines. 1. - Welcome Aboard circular - printed on green paper - giving trip information - Yarra Car, Safety, timetable notes, photostops, refreshments, sales and tours of either the workshops or a tram tour. Trip via North Geelong to Ballarat, return via Bacchus Marsh. Booking Officer R. Carlisle, Tour Organiser E. (Ted) Davies. 2. Thirty two pages on gloss white paper plus brown covers, centre stapled, titled ""Panoramic Views , The Garden City, of Ballarat & District" in Gold printing. On rear has name of printers "Berry and Anderson Co Subtitle on page 1, "The Garden City being a series of 40 magnificent Panoramic Views of Ballarat and District, with special descriptive article, "Ballarat Revisited". On page 1, comprises a list of photos and a photo of Sturt St. looking east with an electric tram hauling a trailer. Pages 2 and 3 comprise the article. Most small photos are recycled postcard photos, dating from around the time of horse trams, through to the 1920, featuring the Arch of Victory, A number of photos of buildings such as Orphan Asylum, or Orphanage, Eureka Stockade, Lake Wendouree, Gardens, Ballarat and District Hospital, The Gardens and Reservoirs or Lakes. Many of the street scenes in Sturt St, feature tram in the City area - see the 11 image files including some close detail scans or horse trams turning from Sturt St to Lydiard St while one horse tram is coming up the hill on the same side of Sturt St. Features both electric and some horse trams. Many photos have marks or ID marks in bottom corners - "PS x Co" and "H.J.S" See email from Alan Bradley - in worksheet file re notes on photos. Thirteen typed, foolscap size, page (carbon copy) of the Commonwealth Court of Arbitration decision and basis for this decision made 14/6/1955 by Conciliation Commissioner E.W. Tokin. Notes history of dispute, MMTB, SEC, Adelaide, Hobart, Launceston, Ballarat, Bendigo and Geelong. Details basis for decisions of Contract of Employment, additional rates for trackman, time allowance at commencement and finish of duty, meals, training of traffic employees, special night allowances, margins. On bottom of page 5, the formal award commences: gives details of award duration, rates of pay, contract of employment, margins compared to the basic award, additional rates, hours of labour, shift work, overtime. holiday work, call forward and call back to duty, spread of hours, Saturday and Sunday work, special night allowances, time allowance at commencement and finish of duty, attending for duty, reporting for duty, meals, acting out of grade, surpluses and shortages, annual leave, sick leave, free travel uniforms, training of traffic employees, reports, union notices and punishments. Was stapled for all 13 pages with three staples on left hand side. Pages 10 to 13 have become unstapled. Contained within a heavy grey cardboard folder with "A.T.M.O.E.A Award as from 14.6.55" written on outside cover in black ink. About 22 pages of notes or questions that a trainee tram driver would have to know to pass an examination, notes on takings on a tram on Friday 3 October?, 24 pages of notes on lathes and machining, and about 66 pages of notes on Ballarat tram timetables, drivers notes, run details and instructions including a calendar for the period March to December.
