A letter to the President of Melbourne Legacy from a representative of a sub-committee. The pencil mark on top of first page could imply it came from Legatee Stan Savige. Date is not known, the first section refers to a resolution of the Board of Management in 1930. That resolution was 'That members of the Club make every effort to influence trade towards Returned Soldiers in business, particularly fellow members, and accept every opportunity at this juncture to carry this into effect.' The rest of the report is a discussion on the impact of this resolution and how it can be made effective in the working of the Legacy spirit. It is possible the report is incomplete as it ends abruptly on page 5. The notation H12 in red pen shows that it was part of the archive project that was trying to capture the history of Legacy. A document that shows a resolution of the Board of Management in 1930 and it's impact and application being examined by a sub-committee. During WWII there were volunteers all over Australia observing air activity every night. This certificate is one that was presented to the volunteers who manned the observation points. This certificate was presented to Mr Gordon White of Mount Beauty who was one such volunteer on the 20th Sept. 1945.The State Electricity Commission of Victoria were constructing the Kiewa Hydro Electric Scheme during World War 2. Workers lived at Bogong where the SECV supplied a hut for volunteers to observe air traffic during World War II. Mr Gordon White was a volunteer at the time. These cards were established by the Federal Government in 1939 and continued until 1952. This identity card was issued to a member of the Stasinowsky family living in Warrnambool. The modern kew Festival wa initiated in 1974. Initially held every two years, it soon became an annual festival. The Society was a founding participant in the festival, mounting regular displays and participating in marches. With the creation of the township of Mount Beauty in 1946 the SECV made every effort to provide wholesome activities for the 3000+ people suddenly living in the remote new community. GRA-Y was an American system of Gymnastics for men and boys under the umbrella of the YMCA.
