The Bendigo Horticultural and Agricultural Show began in 1859 when a meeting was held at the Shamrock hotel to form a committee. This President's chair was presented to the Victorian and Tasmanian Conference in 1932 by Mr Fred J Cato. Dark hardwood ornately carved high backed chair with two arm rests. The chair includes two worn leather cushions on the bottom and the back. There is a small metal plaque at the back with the manufacture's details.

Memorandum - 3 quarto ruled sheets + part of a former poster with a cover note, dated 20/10/1921.   Written in ink to Mr. J. W. Duncan General Superintendent by William Pollock Acting Supt. about the issues at the Toorak Road Engine House regarding poor coke, recording the times of the fireman and trimmer, and problems in keeping up the power required due to the high percentage of breeze.  Looks at the use of staff to fire and maintain supplies. The Premier towns is an award given by the Victorian state Government. It recognises positive actions by regional communities to protect and enhance their local environment. It is based on criteria relating to litter prevention and waste management, environmental and heritage management as well as activities among community groups and leadership. The Lake Bolac Music Club was begun in 1950. The first meeting was held on 12/10/1950, 30 members being present. Office Bearers were Henry Clarke (Pres.), Mrs R Critten (Sec.), Mrs L Hucker (Treas.), Committee: Mr G Rance, Mrs L Wills, Mrs Leitman, Mr J Moreton, Mr AE McIntyre (Auditor). The 21st birthday of the club was celebrated with a performance of "My Fair Lady" on 1st & 2nd Oct., 1971.
