His Four'n Twenty meat pies were initially made in Bendigo in 1947. McClure sold his Four'n Twenty Pie's Pty. The Kew Historical Society's postcard collection includes views of Kew, Melbourne and Greater Melbourne as well as those including overseas scenes sent or received from Europe or the Middle East. They date from the 1890s to the 2000s. These postcards may or may not include the name of the publisher or printer. A number of the cards were published as parts of popular series. A way of dating early postcards is to identify whether the reverse was divided by a central line which became the norm after 1902 in the United Kingdom. This map indicates portions of land in the Parish of Gorrockburkchap near Rowsley which was required for construction of a road. The land required was leased to a Michael Laffan. Other blocks of land nearby owned or leased by D. McPhail and J. Mahoney are also indicated on the map. The date of the map is not known. The High Plains Cattlemen's licenses expired in Aug. 2005 ending a 170 year history of alpine grazing in Victoria and Australia. This journal, No. 29, is published by the Mountain Cattlemen's Association "caring since 1835" and has articles and histories of the families and their activities. Cattle grazing on the Bogong High Plains occurred on most summers since the 1840s. The families were farmers from the Kiewa Valley. The 2003 fires interrupted this tradition which was discontinued altogether in 2005 for environmental reasons. This map has been owned by the Ryder Family of the Kiewa Valley for possibly over 100 years (1905?). It was used when the family mustered and maintained cattle on their grazing lease on the Bogong High Plains. This ensemble would have been worn early in the second half of the 20th century. It would have been worn on special occasions rather than for everyday wear and would perhaps have been worn with a hat, gloves and high heels. This ensemble is retained as an example of a women’s outfit worn in the 1960s and 70s. It will be useful for display. This is a cotton wove dress and jacket in matching material. The pattern has bands width-ways and is in grey, brown and cream colouring. The dress is sleeveless with a rounded neckline and a zip at the back. The skirt section is slightly flared. The photograph shows the state of the Echuca wharf in 1973 or 1974. The P.S Pevensey looks like it has just received a fresh coat of paint. There is also a train parked on the wharf behind the school students. The river also appears to be quite high. This photograph shows the state of the wharf in the early 1970's. It shows the fence between the wharf and Murray Esplande was relatively new. The tourism industry was very new to Echuca in the 1970's but the P.S Pevensey looks ready to take Tourists cruising on the Murray River.
