Yields information about the closure of the SEC operated Ballarat system - presented in an unorganised manner and without newspaper dates.Set of about 6 newspaper clippings glued to a sheet of lined paper. Cuttings from the Ballarat Courier, date from around 23 August 1971 following the closure of the Victoria St lines and part of the Gardens route. Includes a poem titled "Vale, the Tramways!", written by SMP, an item by a staff report going to to school by tram in Victoria St and Sturt St ""Will miss the tram". Other items "Work begins on Lake Route" about the BTPS agreement with Council, quotes Paul Nicholson, removal of parking meters, derailment at the depot, and bus stop signs being damaged. Shows the additional trams to the basic service on Weekdays.Set of five type foolscap sheets - landscape format, along with a set of carbon copies, of the "On and Off" times dated 12 October 1944. Details the sign on / sign off times for each run or table number operated by Motormen / Conductors, where the first service went to, where it came in from if applicable, the number of trips it did to terminus eg G for Gardens, V for Victoria St and the total miles of that run or table. The Miles have been typed in red ink to give a column breakup. Sheets for Basic Service Weekdays, Middle Runs - Mondays to Thursdays - (additional services am, lunch, PM and theatre), Middle runs for Fridays, Middle Runs Saturdays, and Sundays. Arranged with four main columns, Monday to Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday and within each main column 9 further columns giving Run No, Take Up, Relief times, Ord Rate (hours), One Man Rate, Spread (always "-" except for two on Saturday). Thought to be used in final months of the tramway system.Duplicated typed form, S.118, titled "Sign off cars at City Centre", for signing off defects in trams that Motorman signed off when signing off at the City Office in Sturt St. Form made out for weekdays, has date in top right hand corner. Has Run Number and Time in pre-printed, then space for car number, defects, motorman's signature, repairs made and Foreman's Signature. Some runs detailed twice. Significant in being a detailed set of instructions for parking trams, hand overs, relief, responsibility for the security of the tram, including leaving the tram unattended. Regrettable incidents have happened. Issued 1965. Follows on from Reg item 261 an earlier version, but with less detailed instructions and no explanation.Two foolscap duplicated sheets titled "Special Order to Motormen (49/1)" giving instructions regarding 1) Responsibility (for trams), 2) Relief on the road, 3) Controller key, 4) Air brake handle, 5) leaving tram unattended with definition, general precautions, special precautions - such as parking the tram at Lydiard St North, parking trams at City Loop and 6) an explanation on the braking system at either end of the tram. Prepared by crews from sheets to enable them to know what service times to run, meal times, details of crew changes etc, based on their allocated shift or run from the roster.Sixty (60) page notebook with brown card board covers. Each sheet faint ruled, both sides, with some additional pages fixed in. Right hand side only has the hand written details of each SEC Ballarat runs - giving sign on times, notes, timetables, which run taken or taken by, meal times, notes with regard to special instructions, finish times notes with corrections and changes.
