The fountain in the image is at the entrance to the 'Emu Bottom' homestead. George Evans squatted on land to graze sheep, along the Jacksons Creek Valley, originally known as Buttlejork Valley, in 1836 and built the homestead from local Silurian sandstone and timber. Over the years it has had a number of owners. In the 1920s the property was renamed 'Holly Green' by H.L Webb after a property in Narre Warren.In the 1950s it was renamed 'Emu Bottom'. Over the years a number of fires have destroyed parts of the building and as a result, little of the original building remains. The fountain was erected in 1936 to mark the centenary of the property as well as 100 years of European settlement in theSunbury area. George Evans is the man in the photograph. The big Hayshed was built by J. D. McHaffie on his property at Ventnor. He used timber washed up by the sea and roofing iron from the dome of the Exhibition Building in London. After purchasing the historic McHaffie homestead, Mr Harbison removed most of the buildings to Innishowen. It was still standing in 1977."Innishowen". This kettle was used by pioneer families, mainly rural, folk that needed a constant readily available source of boiling water, in or mainly outside the homestead.. This kettle was used in the early to late 1900's for the refreshment of stock men and farmers that had irregular "tea" breaks under sometimes hard and gruelling conditions.This kettle belonged and was used by a Kiewa Valley, pioneer family, the Roper Family. This kettle was moved from their Kiewa Valley property to their hut built on the Bogong High Plains. A scientific study started in 1947 to study the impact of grazing cattle on the natural Alpine and sub Alpine vegetation found grazing cattle had an adverse affect on the natural Alpine and sub alpine vegetation, and grazing on the plains was stopped by the Victorian Government in 2005.This "camp draft" could take up to six weeks.This large cast iron kettle holds a capacity of three pints of water/tea. It has a flat base and mushroom shaped handle welded onto the "pot" below the rim of the pot opening. It has a rim to position the tea pot lid but no lid. Crafty Carson and his nasty friends started a grass fire which started to spread. The flames were raging and the bush children watched in horror. Granny Goanna was unwell and in the homestead. The bush children tried to call the Dogtor but flames had damaged the radio. in 1922 Kergunyah Park homestead was built by David Wallace in the late 1800's and remained in the family until the sale in 1922 when it was bought by John Woodside (grandfather of Ewen Wallace) whose family retained it until 1938. Another family named Wallace bought the property in 1938 and this family's descendants are still running it in 2005.David and Henrietta Wallace purchased the original holding and built Kergunyah Park homestead in the late 1800's running cattle on the property. Sweeney's, originally Culla Hill, a former homestead, located on a site bought from the crown in 1842 by Irishman Thomas Sweeney. The cottage is important in the history of Eltham and of architectural interest as an example of a Colonial Style dwelling. The Living room shows a wooden door and floor with rug. "Narrapumelap" homestead, Wickliffe. The aboriginal meaning of Narrapumelap is a chain of waterholes. Begun in 1873 by John Dixon Wyselaskie and completed in 1878. The new owner in 1883 was Gerald Neville Buckley, son of Mr Mars Buckley, founder of Buckley and Nunn LTD, who 'enhanced' the building. Concongella Home Station. Part of a collection of Photographs by Mr. O.G. Armstrong as commissioned by the Shire of Stawell for the Inter-colonial and Paris Exhibition in Melbourne in 1866. The Concongella Station consisted of 57,000 acres along the Concongella Creek. It was first part of Allanvale, taken up by John Allan in 1841. Allen's right to the 137,000 acres of Allanvale was contested and as a result, the northern section of 57,000 acres was renamed Concongella. Concongella Run, with the homestead on the creek of the same name just east of Stawell, occupied the lands between the later named Deep Lead and Great Western. It was on this station that William McLaughlin a sheep minder discovered gold at Pleasant Creek in 1853. Doctor Blundell held Concongella under licence at this time and through until 1858. The homestead has been gone for many years and only some lonely graves remain at this vicinity. stawell

Woodlands Homestead was erected by William Greene in 1843 and is one of the state's oldest buildings. Over the years the complex has been renovated and extended. The property has connections with the racing industry over the years along with the neighbouring properties of 'Cumberland' and 'Attwood'. Isaac Jeeves the younger was a son of Isaac Jeeves, Valley Pioneer. He was lived c1858 - 1932 and married Selina Leach of Bayswater (c1858 - 1931)in 1886. Isaac built the homestead 'Shiloah' that was later extended for use as a guest house. This item comes from the great aunts of the donor, women of the Kinnear family of Allandale, Allansford. In the early 1840s William and John Allan took up large tracts of land to the east of the Hopkins River. In the late 19840s the run was divided, with William taking the Allandale section and John taking the Tooram section. In 1906 a portion of the Allandale section, including the homestead, was acquired by the Kinnear family. This hat is retained as an example of a woman’s hat from 80 years ago – stylish and eye-catching. It is also of interest as coming from the Kinnear family of Allansford.This is a woman’s hat – a spherical-shaped piece of dark blue felt or velvet curved to fit a head. The headpiece is covered with layers of small feathers in brown, yellow, black and white tonings. The label of the maker is on the inside of the hat. Brand new Eltham-Templestowe footbridge over the Yarra River off Homestead Road, Eltham which was completed in July 2004. The Yarra River Footbridge was opened in August 2004 and links the Diamond Creek Trail between the Shire of Nillumbik and City of Manningham. It is a shared pathway and also links with the Main Yarra Trail. The Old Station Homestead site at Corringle Beach was a popular destination for Orbost people to have picnics late 19Century.
