A reporter and photographer from the Border Morning Mail Albury, visited a troop of the 8th/13th Victorian Mounted Rifles Regiment on a 116 day annual exercise in September 1979. An article entitled "Hide and seek in the bush" written by Tony Wright appeared in the newspaper on 18 September 1979 accompanied, by this photograph taken by Peter Batson. He served at Gallipoli; was wounded at the Nek : later seved in Palestine : wounded at Gaza 1917. World War Two service in 12th Garrison Battalion VDC.
