.1 - Twenty page booklet on the history of the Brighton Electric Line by Leon Marshall-Wood, published 1956. Gives a brief history of the electric tramway operated by the Victorian Railways between St. Kilda Station and the Brighton Beach railway station, that commenced operation in 1905. The booklet was priced 2/-, published by the Traction Publications. Has 18 photographs, map 1905 and present day (when printed), rolling stock roster and notes and on the rear cover has details of the AETA. Front cover has horizontal crimson stripes. Has details of the AETA on the back cover and listing of some publications. Second copy from Ian Stanley added 24-1-2016. .2 - as for above - second edition, 1958, similar text, different photo layout and different front cover photo. Black and white photograph of W6 994 in Smith St. Collingwood/Fitzroy, in bound on route 90 to City - Spencer St., picking up passengers at a tram stop. Pole obscuring front of tram. Tram has destination "City Spencer St" and run number "P44" Tram appears to be fairly crowded already. Photo taken c1956 with a number of motor cars in the street including some Holdens. In the background are a number of shop fronts, with signs for "Singer Sewing Machines", "Freddo frogs", "Peters Ice Cream", Davies Hardware, John Cornish. On the side of the photograph is the first part of a Woolworths store front. The address of the John Cornish, Mercer, was 205 Smith St. Fitzroy and Woolworths were at 182 -184 Smith St. Collingwood. VHS cassette and cardboard slip cover or box and labels on cassette and VHS tape. Made by Mr. P. Wilson of the United Kingdom during his visit during the winter of 1994 and a copy subsequently sent to the Museum in 1995. Part 1 - features a visit to the AETM St. Kilda Museum, including a trip to the beach and return in Ballarat 21 - 40 mins, an 8 minute trip on the Glenelg line, a visit to the Myer store - toy train and monorail (but not running), then a 10 min long session of a visit to Christchurch NZ. Part 2 - features a visit to Ballarat (28 mins. running time), featuring a trip on 14 with Dave O'Neil, and visit to the depot in particular 27, 1, 12 and 661 and video of the Tower truck at work. The final section is a visit to SPER at Loftus, including a trip to the National Park with 1971 and shots of Ballarat No. 12 on display.
