Demonstrates an important part of Ballarat's tramway operations during the Second World War when black out conditions applied and headlights had to be masked. The item is a replica made at the time for an exhibition.Replica headlight mask used in BTM's Australia Remembers Exhibition 1995, made to dimensions in SECV drawing BA-T9-8387, made from galvanised sheet metal, cut and folded. Photo features a model tram, No. 41, known as the Treasure Tram with a group of boys and men group at the rear of the tram. Boys are dressed in army or sailors uniforms. Men dressed in army uniform and one SEC conductor with conductors bag around shoulder. From original of another reproduction believed to be held by the Ballarat Historical Society.
